Another Summer Gone

4 Oct

Wow! Another summer is in the record books.

The summer of 2010 was a big one for us here at Highroller. It seems like we barely had time to put our wrenches down and get out and ride. We cant complain though, our repairs were at an all time high this season.  Even with two new shops opening in Fayetteville, and the city starting to charge for parking in the downtown, our sales are still very healthy. I guess it doesn’t hurt that the brands we sell are the strongest in the industry.

With all the bike shop work we have not had time to rally connect with our cycling community as much as we would have liked. We plan to remedy that this fall and winter with classes oriented toward maintenance and also some basic skills classes for all cyclists (like how to change a tube) keep an eye on our website or facebook page for more info on those.

We are also putting on a basic cyclocross practice race every Wed in October in Walker park at six PM. This is a great way to experience the fastest growing competitive segment of cycling in the US today. You don’t have to have a cross bike you can use your mtb for these practices.

2011 Product is rolling through the doors every day now. Check our Face book page for new product photos and also for deals on older stuff. We are heavily discounting carbon road and mtn models in order to make room for the highly sought after 2011 line of bikes from Specialized.

With the Temps falling look for a new post soon about the appropriate way to dress for all riding occasions. Until then, see you on the roads.
